The Land of Wind and Shade, abbreviated as LOWAS, is John Egbert's planet in the Medium. His house was transported there once he entered the Medium, and John got to the surface through his first gate. John's house is located at the top of a large outcropping, rising above the clouds. LOWAS is inhabited by the salamander consorts, and its denizen is Typheus. The Land of Wind and Shade corresponds to the first planet in Can Town as drawn by the Wayward Vagabond.
The Land of Wind and Shade is made of dark blue, pulsating, glowing rocks. The land is split by streams of oil. This oil forms lakes and oceans. There are sharp 'mountains' that are made of the more 'normal' brown rocks. The plant life consists of turquoise mushrooms and trees of various sizes. There are no leaves on the trees, and the salamanders farm the local mushrooms for food. Underground is a network of pipes known as the Parcel Pyxis system that are used by the land's inhabitants to transport items. Many pipes can be seen sticking out of the ground. There are also frog statues called "cherished idols" which have recently been vandalized by the underlings (specifically the imps).
This land's original inhabitants are the salamanders. Numerous fireflies fly in the sky, trapped under the clouds by The Slumbering One. After John's entry to the medium, harlequin-prototyped underlings such as Shale Imps came to the Land, and later many variations of these imps emerged, prototyped with other objects. Giclopes and Basilisks have appeared as well.
Once, the amphibians lived peacefully in the Land, but as John started his adventure his denizen Typheus polluted the Land of Wind and Shade with black oil and trapped the fireflies under the clouds. Since then, Dersite underlings have continued to cause chaos throughout the Land. After John's arrival, a village in the Land was attacked by three imps, two Tar Basilisks and a Copper Giclops. John and Grandpa Harley defended the village. When John's Dad's car was dropped to the Land it was heavily damaged by the fall. An agent known as the Authority Regulator declared it parked illegally and confiscated the package and CDs inside. The Salamanders have also found and utilized many of the other items that had been dropped to the planet by John.
During his battle with Dave's Bro and Davesprite on LOWAS, Jack Noir set fire to the oil rivers, which quickly spread across the entire planet. John eventually managed to put them out by creating a planet-wide tornado. Jade shrinks the planet, along with the others, with her god tier powers and takes them beyond the reach of the scratch. After arriving in the new session, LOWAS and the other planets of the Beta kids are placed into orbit around Skaia.LOWAS is one of just two planets left unscathed after Aranea's battle with the Condesce (the other being LOPAN). After the battle, John returned to the planet to seek the help of his denizen. Upon finding Typheus at LOWAS's core he was offered a set of conditions to which he agreed, upon which Typheus opened the pipes to the core causing the oil to flood into it. In response to this John was forced to master his power and use it to remove the oil, causing it to scatter across existence, leaving LOWAS cleansed.
John then proceeded to play his song, Pipeorgankind, and engulfed the planet with massive gusts of wind, entirely blowing away the clouds and freeing the fireflies. The wind was so strong that is appeared to extend beyond LOWAS itself, blowing so forcefully that it expelled all the special stardust from the Medium, and, thus, from the Act 6 Act 6 game cartridge. During this process, the entire planet was zapped into a void the same color as the MSPA page foreground.

The Land of Light and Rain, abbreviated as LOLAR, is Rose Lalonde's planet in The Medium. Rose's house is located on a large island. While the mausoleum was destroyed by an explosion, the secret passage beneath it remains. It now leads to a dock, from which Rose's Mom left. On one island, where Mom docks her boat and John later flies to, there are purple-colored ruins, containing at least one powerful enemy and a transportalizer leading to the Ectobiology Lab located in The Veil. The Land of Light and Rain corresponds to the second planet in Can Town.
As far as can be seen, it is an endless ocean of magenta, cyan, and yellow water, dotted with many yellow rainclouds. There are a few islands, covered in white sand (possibly Rose's associated item, chalk, much as John's world is covered in oil). This planet is home to Rose's Pink Turtle consorts. Chalk Imps, Marble Imps, Lime Ogres, and Caulk Liches have appeared on the Land, but so far Rose has easily defeated each one she has encountered. The majority of these underlings are colored white, in following with the elemental theme.
Jaspersprite revealed that the ocean was once full of fish, but they have since been eaten by the Denizen of the planet, which is now sleeping. Curiously, the meteor that carried Rose to Earth as a baby also destroyed all aquatic life in a nearby lake.
John arrived at the planet soon after Rose entered, but finding her asleep, left to explore the planet. He shortly left the planet via transportalizer to the Veil. Rose destroyed her First Gate soon afterwards, and left her house's island to explore on her own. Rose dismantled a large Turtle building, finding inside what appears to be a large Captchalogue Card for the Green Sun. She later found a crystal ball and studied Turtle books in some sort of library. She soon left the planet.
Jade shrinks the planet, along with the others, with her god tier powers and takes them beyond the reach of the scratch. After arriving in the new session, LOLAR and the other planets of the Beta kids were placed into orbit around Skaia.During Aranea's battle with the Condesce, Aranea used her proxy abilities to launch LOLAR at LOFAF, where they were fighting, destroying the Condesce's ship and severely damaging both planets.

The Land of Heat and Clockwork, abbreviated as LOHAC, is Dave Strider's planet in The Medium. He got there after his Cruxite Egg was hatched by his seppucrowsprite. Dave's apartment remained atop its highrise, though the floors below his were replaced with a steel framework. The Land of Heat and Clockwork corresponds to the third planet in Can Town. After WV is locked inside his Sburb base, his drawing of the planet is slit in two. The significance of this is that the scratch appeared in LOHAC on the Beat Mesa. The scratch on Beat Mesa corresponds to the scratch through planet 3.
The land is characterized by steel framework, spinning cogs, and lots of lava. The Beat Mesa, the device that can activate the Scratch, floats over the oceans of lava. There are also some golden crocodile temples on the planet, potentially made from Amber. The native inhabitants of LOHAC are Dave's crocodile consorts. Dave has also encountered many enemies here: Amber Imps, Rust Imps, Basilisks, Sulfur Ogres, and a Ruby Giclops.
Dave's Bro and Jack Noir had their first duel on LOHAC at the Beat Mesa at some point. The planet is also the resting place of the legendary sword (or Legendary Piece of Shit as Dave calls it) Caledfwlch, a weapon that the planet's denizen, Hephaestus, is obsessed with. However, other than the Caledfwlch the planet itself does not seem to be under any of the same denizen-caused duress seen on the other planets. Whether this means Hephaestus's influence on LOHAC is minimal, or that Dave skipped his planet's quests, is unclear.Dave entered his First Gate around the same time that the Reckoning started. He met his crocodile consorts, who began cooking him with vegetables for whatever reason. Soon Dave began his manipulation of the LOHAC Stock Exchange (LOHACSE), which is, as the name implies, a stock exchange system on the Land of Heat and Clockwork. Through the use of time travel, Dave gained a complete monopoly on the stock exchange and gained over a septillion Boondollars.
Later Rose arrived at the planet with her complacency to prepare for the scratch, of which she did not yet know the true nature. She soon left to get revenge on Jack Noir for murdering her Mom. John came to the planet soon afterwards with her needlekind strife specibus in order to initiate the scratch. Jade shrinks the planet, along with the others, with her god tier powers and takes them beyond the reach of the scratch. She has since put it into orbit in the Beta kid's session. The planet suffered serious damage in its collision with LOCAH in the battle between the Condesce and Aranea Serket. As of the new timeline, LOHAC seems to be in its regular state.

The Land of Frost and Frogs, abbreviated as LOFAF, is Jade Harley's planet in the Medium. The portion of Jade's island that was transported to The Medium (including the Forge) is connected to a larger land mass. The Land of Frost and Frogs corresponds to the fourth planet in Can Town.
The planet was constantly snowing, and the trees and earth have all frosted over under a white blanket of snow. Pink hummingbirds search for nectar in frozen red flowers, while frogs may be seen encased in thick ice. The sky is covered with beautiful blue and green neon auroras. It is possible that the frost was caused by Jade's denizen, as the animals inhabiting the planet do not appear to be indigenous to cold climates. The consorts inhabiting the planet appear to be blue Iguanas. The denizen of the planet is Echidna, whose quills are essential for activating the scratch. Underlings, such as Becquerel-prototyped Uranium Imps, have invaded the planet.
Jade arrives at her planet after the Reckoning began. Kanaya suggests that Jade must heat up the planet by stoking the Forge, as part of her frog breeding duties as the Hero of Space. She accomplishes this in an extremely short time (several hours, as compared to Kanaya's "rushed" several week time) with help from Dave's time traveling powers. Jack Noir follows Jade around her planet while she was collecting frogs due to his loyalty to her given by the Becquerel-prototyping. Jack later fights Jade and Dave here as they are working on Jade's quest, killing Dave and forcing Jade to revive his dream self with a kiss. Jade shrinks the planet, along with the others, with her god tier powers and takes them beyond the reach of the scratch. It was put into orbit in the post-scratch kids' session. Jade switched the planet with Derse to prevent it from being destroyed by Jake's Hope field. Aranea used her abilities to collide LOLAR with this planet in her battle with the Condesce.
